A Class Driving School VORT Testing Services
We offer VORT testing services around South Australia. Your VORT test will take approximately 45 minutes and you will be required to demonstrate the following:
- 5 low speed manoeuvres
- move off up a hill
- angle park
- 3-point turn
- reverse parallel park
The general drive component of your VORT will test your driving skills e.g. changing lanes, turning on and from busy roads, turning at traffic lights, negotiating roundabouts, stop and give-way signs, your interaction with other road users and the system of car control.
To pass a VORT you must demonstrate 5 slow speed manoeuvres and in combination with the general drive score a pass mark of 90% or more and not breach and road law during the drive. Any breach of road law will result in an immediate fail and the VORT will be terminated.
If you are unsuccessful with your VORT I will debrief you on the reason why. A copy of the test marking sheet will be given to you detailing your performance.
Choosing a VORT offers you the following options:
- The practical VORT may be commenced between the hours of 7.00am and 6.15pm or sunset Monday to Saturday (whichever is the earliest time) and on Sunday, between 10.00am and 7.00pm or sunset (whichever is earlier
- The practical VORT may be taken on any day except Christmas Day and Good Friday
- The practical VORT will be conducted on an authorised VORT test route which has been designed to require most of the driving skills contained in the Competency Based Training (CBT) course
- The practical VORT will result in either a ‘pass’ or a ‘fail’ and is an objective testing system based on your correct responses to road and traffic conditions
You are not permitted to undertake a VORT with any Authorised Examiner who has contributed to your training. Either you or your Driving Instructor must book your VORT with an Authorised Examiner at least 2 full days prior to the date of the test. If you fail a VORT, you must wait 14 days before attempting another VORT.
